The 10-hour mentoring, offered as part of the ICF ACC accreditation, is a crucial requirement for coaches seeking to obtain their Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF)
This mentoring process is designed to enhance a coach's understanding and application of the ICF Core Competencies
Here's what the 10-hour mentoring might include and how it would work if you work with me:
Mentor Selection:
Note A qualified Mentor Coach must hold an ACC credential or higher and have completed a full cycle of the credential (through renewal), or hold a PCC or MCC in good standing - ( I'm a PCC and CPCC)
Mentoring Structure: The 10 hours of mentor coaching must take place over at least three months.
You can get together in a group and mentoring may count for a maximum of seven hours, while the remaining three hours must be one-on-one mentoring. The mentoring group may not consist of more than 6 participants - The cost is reduced for groups - please email me.
Enhancing Coaching Skills: During these sessions, the mentor coaching focuses on honing the coaches' skills to align with the ICF Core Competencies, and provides constructive feedback to optimise their growth and development as coaches
Reviewing Recorded Sessions: The mentor coaching process may also include reviewing the coach's recorded coaching sessions, offering insights, recommendations, and support to develop their coaching practice in line with the ICF standards, this just needs to be sound recordings
Peer Support and Networking: As a part of the group mentor coaching process, coaches will benefit from peer support, group discussions, and networking, which can facilitate learning from each other's experiences and perspectives - group mentoring onlyÂ
Credentialing Exam Preparation: The mentor coaching sessions often cover tips, guidance, and best practices to help coaches prepare for the ICF credentialing exam, ensuring they are ready and well-equipped to pass the assessment.
